Meet the team
Gary’s initial grounding was in the areas of sales and marketing, in the mid nineties he joined Longman Software Publishing to head up the business development of SURVEYkits (the worlds first employee opinion survey toolkit). After spearheading its growth over an 18 month period, Gary joined EMPLOYeSURVEYS, the original developers of SURVEYkits, helping to establish EMPLOYeSURVEYS as a leading provider of employee surveys.
Following its successful growth, in 2006 employesurvey was bought by a leading consultancy group.
He has managed numerous employee research projects for a variety of organisations. He is a partner at The Survey Initiative (and enjoys sports, in particular table tennis and football).
Jaime has an MSc in Applied Social Research coupled with nearly ten years employee research expertise. She originally worked within the Ministry of Defence before moving to a dedicated psychology based consultancy.
Managing the research team within the consultancy, she delivered many key national and international employee survey projects. In addition she successfully set-up and established a leading NHS 360° feedback tool for Doctors as well as managing the psychometric testing aspect of the consultancy.
She is the founding partner of The Survey Initiative (and loves a good coffee).
Alison’s career began in the finance industry, in particular within the customer service, mortgage and life insurance sector. After 11 years gaining experience in this field for a major high street bank, she put working life on hold to raise a family.
She returned to work in 1997 as a civilian clerk for the Ministry of Defence in Germany, and then, after moving back to the UK in 2000, Alison began working for Local Authority within the Housing Service.
We are pleased that Alison has brought her Client Liaison and Project Management skills to The Survey Initiative (she likes a glass of fine wine and a good ‘chinwag’!).
Ralph Sutcliffe has over 30 years’ experience and expertise in managing and delivering large and small scale employee and market research for a range of Private and Public sector clients.
He is regularly asked to be an expert speaker at industry events and to be a guest lecturer at local universities.
We are delighted that Ralph has brought his project support and business development expertise to The Survey Initiative, enabling us to manage and deliver wider scale survey projects.
Linda, a former Director of a well established Bureau Service, brings her superb organisational, planning and management skills to the The Survey Initiative.
Adding her wealth of knowledge to the team and ensuring that policies, procedures are in place and The Survey Initiative runs smoothly are just some of the key aspects of the work Linda undertakes (Linda loves a good walk in the countryside!).
Diandra has recently completed her Ma in Economics and Econometrics at the University of Essex.
With excellent analytical and research skills, Diandra has joined the Research team working on statistical analysis, reporting and our benchmarking database. She will be adding new ways of reporting and analysis our survey data going forward (Diandra loves nothing more than keeping fit!).
Joining from Essex County Council with over 10 years experience and expertise in databases, data interrogation and programming.
Oliver is working on streamlining and improving our reporting processes (Oliver is a budding Amateur dramatic performer).
Jacqueline has over 20 years’ experience of people management gained across all key employment sectors, in large and smaller businesses; in later years as a Board level HR&OD Director. Her broad experience has enabled her to gain an insightful and intuitive understanding of what it takes to lead a successful organisation through optimising its people practices. Crucially, not just by talking about it, but by doing it.
As well as now providing people management consultancy to businesses in her own right, Jacqueline is working closely with The Survey Initiative team to provide clients with in-depth consulting, coaching, facilitation and leadership development.
Jacqueline loves spending time outdoors with her dogs and partner (not necessarily in that order!) or enjoying a cool glass of wine sat in the garden on a warm summers evening…
Katherine has always been interested in what makes people tick – and in particular why some managers seem to get the best out of their people with apparent ease whilst others just seem to get it wrong. These interests lead her to study first for a degree in psychology and then, after working for a large IT company, for a MSc in Occupational Psychology.
Her expertise now lies in working with organisations to help them and the individuals within them to perform to the best of their capability. She has a broad range of knowledge and experience working with organisations on employee engagement projects. Balancing theory with pragmatism and practicality Katherine has designed behavioural development interventions including soft skills training, development centres and 360 degree feedback. She is an experienced user of psychometric tests both in development and recruiting.
Katherine enjoys nothing more than lying on a beach in Goa, or failing that putting her creativity to use with her sewing machine making bunting, bags and gifts for friends!
It was nice to have personal attention from people who understood why and how we would use the survey...
